Patterns of Ilumination, 2018

In the GP hall and top corridor of Griffith Barracks Multi-denominational  School, specially designed glass panels were installed onto the south and west facing windows. These framed panels project rainbow spectrums inside the hall and top corridor. Visible in direct sunshine at various times of the day, they change shape and pattern in relation to the seasons and angle of the sun. Much like other solar alignments, it attempts to grasp a moment in time through a temporary sculptural event.

This work was commissioned by the school, the Board of Management, the school Arts Committee, the Office of Public Works and curator Aisling Prior.
